My learning curve continues as I compose this second blog entry. Not only am I embracing new ventures online but also in my studio. Having made the decision to do 100 small paintings (which starts this week) I have been practicing working on a smaller scale and learning how much more there is to learn! There is no room for fiddlesome brushwork or myriad tonal values.....everything has to be distilled to the essence, simplified and expressed in fewer brush strokes.
This is 'Vivador De Broa' a stunning Lusitano stallion. I will be doing a series of work on him, this is the first and at 12 x 10 inches not small enough for my 100 paintings gallery but I am reducing the size gradually!
Another thing I need to sort out is how to reply to comments made on my blog, thanks got to Yvonne for the helpful comments re my first post. Yvonne I loved looking at your website (especially 'Sun on Lavender') and the informative nature of your blog, something I will aspire to.
